A Simple and Easy Way to Clean your Windows

Sparkly clean windows can become the main attraction for many homes. Well maintained windows and doors are the reflection of the creativity and cleanliness of the home owner. Vinyl windows need to be cleaned at least once a year to keep the fresh air and sun light coming into the room properly.

Tips to clean a dirty window?
Below we have listed some simple tips to follow.

Step 1: Brush off the dirt and dust on the windows. Use a soft bristled, dry brush to clean dust off the glass.

Step 2: Soak the window in soapy water to remove any old stains from things like bird poop off the glass. It’s best not to rub any deposits as it may leave scratches on your glass. Use protective gloves while removing this kind of dirt as they are health hazards.

Step 3: Mix liquid dish soap with luke warm water. Wipe off the glass and window frames with soft cloth/sponge dipped in the mixture. It is best to use horizontal strokes as it helps avoid unsightly streaks.

Step 4: Rinse the sponge in clear water after every few strokes to remove dirt on the sponge. Keep in mind that dirt settles at the bottom making it easy to get clean water for each rinse without needing more water.

Step 5: Use clean water to wash the glass panes and frames. Wiping the glass with soft tissue paper afterwards will help you to remove water stains and streaks which can be visible once the glass dries.

Note: Water droplets left on the metal window frames will cause corrosion. So take care of your frames and dry them completely after every wash.
If you feel your windows are still dirty and you are unable to make it look the way you want, it may be time for you to get a replacement window. An easy way to get new windows is to get in touch with J & M Glass Company. They manufacture top class windows and install them too.
